Welcome to TAG Roundup!
Ever wonder what you missed in the world of gaming last week? No worries – we’ve got you covered!
We read a ton of video game articles each week and wanted to share some of our favorites with the Average Gamer community. We’ll feature everything from previews to reviews and everything in between.
The articles we share will be from a combination of well-known sources (like IGN) and more niche blogs that you may not have heard of. In the previous TAG Roundup post, we talked about LEGO Overwatch, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Super Mario Maker 2 and more!
Apex Gun Reference Sheet – Slash Gear
There are many things to learn in a game to really understand how to win a match. In Apex, we have things like positioning, legend abilities, map rotations and aim. On top of all that, you should probably know the mechanics and details of each gun.Â
Redditor JetSetJamerson did us all a solid by creating the quick gun reference sheet. It shows each gun’s category, base stats and modified characteristics based on attachments. If you’re looking to improve in Apex Legends, I strongly suggest you take a look for some instant knowledge!
XCOM-Inspired Spaceland – PC Gamer
The developers at Tortuga Team are creating a strategy sci-fi RPG with hints of XCOM gameplay. In Spaceland, you’ll shoot aliens with some cool weapons while playing through various mission types.
There are puzzle elements which will keep you thinking on your toes and matches will typically last less than 15 minutes. No official release date has been announced but you can expect to see it in the wild later this year.

Digital Monsters on Switch – Comicbook
Do you remember Digimon?? I barely do, but that little orange-looking T-rex guy is very recognizable.
Hold onto your seats here guys…TWO Digimon games are coming to Switch and PC within four months!Â
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth — Hacker’s Memory are being release as a package deal. I actually played the original Digimon waaaay back in the day and really enjoyed the gameplay. I’m all for an updated version on the current gen console, but this will probably only appeal to diehard fans.

What’s Inside a Console? – Kotaku
Artists are cool. I appreciate anyone who is able to display their creativity through art. Photographer Richard Parry has elevated the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words” in his latest series.
Richard created a gallery of game consoles that were split into several different layers. The end result is beautiful and inspiring.Â
He found broken systems online then placed each layer on a transparent acrylic sheet. Richard shared with Kotaku:
I’ll disassemble them and work out which elements belong on what layer and how to present them in an accurate but also aesthetically pleasing way. I think people are interested to see what’s inside of these items they’d spent so much time with.

Top 30 Video Game List – USA Today
It’s a dangerous task to put together a “top xyz list”, but USA Today released one for gamers anyways. Sure, plenty of people will disagree with certain games on the list and be furious that others weren’t included, but people love to get mad.
More specifically, this is a list of games by total volume sold. This doesn’t necessarily speak to the quality of the game, but says a lot about how the marketing and sales team were able to push the product.
The heavy hitters are on there like Mario, GTA and Pokemon. Wii Sports takes the number one spot @ 82 million copies sold!Â
Only time will tell if any of 2019’s biggest games are able to crack the all-time sales list. Even though Apex Legends is free to play, my guess is that Respawn Entertainment will sell at least 10 million Season Passes this year.
